• Elissa Larkin, an ISHA member who works at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, was on the ASHA Voices podcast sharing three stories of communication access in health.  Take some time to listen to the episode Creating ‘Ramps’ to Communication Access in Health Care.
• ASHA State Advocate for Reimbursement (STAR) for Illinois Carrie Kerr was among the panelists on the ASHA Voices podcast: Medicaid Advocacy at the State Level about how SLPs can get involved and find success with advocacy efforts.
• Angela Riccelli, co-chair of ISHA’s DEI committee, published an article entitled AAC Lab Provides Hands-On Experience with Devices in the November issue of the ASHA Leader. 
• Brenda Gorman, co-chair of the Multicultural Topics Committee, was recently recognized at the 2024 ASHA Convention with the Visionary Session designation and the Meritorious Poster designation.
